Hey guys

just got this 5.5 rear wheel in the mail and pulled out the sprocket carrier...it's nasty so I'm going to degrease it with gasoline...what kind, if any, lube is recommended for it? All I have on hand is white lithium grease

thanks.

It also seemed kind of strange that it just pulled out so easily?

On a dss bike? Yah it just slips out easily.

No lube needed.
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

You can put a light coat on the pins that go into the cush drives.

Other than that, nothimg else necessary.

Try to shield the bearings and spacers from degreasing, or put a very light coat on the exposed metal to prevent corrosion.
