Hey guys

This year the Quail Motorcycle Gathering will have a special display celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Monster. If you’ve never been to this event, it is pretty special and this year would be a great opportunity to do a Monster meetup/ride/gathering surrounding the event. In short, I am thinking we could organize a ride with two legs (SoCal and NorCal) that come together somewhere in Carmel or Monterey in the days prior to the event. I can work on finding a host hotel, dinner spots, riding routes, etc., but wanted to gauge interest. If you’re interested, respond to this thread and as things develop, I will add details here.

Here’s some info on the Quail Motorcycle Gathering:

Date: Saturday, May 4, 2013
Time: 10:00am – 3:30pm

I've long wanted to attend this event; alas, this won't be the year. Quail Lodge is a stunning facility in the heart of one of my favorite bits of country; last time I was there was for my wedding reception. Turns out that wedding was a really bad idea, but it seems a stretch to hold Quail Lodge responsible.

Hope you get a great crew together!  waytogo

Thanks. Sorry you can’t make it. I’m sure it will be a good time.

Hi Nicole,

While I won't be able to attend, I was wondering if there's an event program that I might be able to purchase as something to commemorate the Monster anniversary celebration?

I started a meetup group for the event. I am still dialing in the final details, but click the link below to see how things are shaking out!

FYI: Ducati has organized for Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca to open up the track for us to do some parade laps the Friday before the event!

This is looking to be a good event! I'm in central Cali so if I attend it will be on the day of the event.
Laguna Seca sounds good tho..., I'm gonna try to make it happen.

What does this mean exactly?  is there a cap to the number of people that can ride on the track and how could we participate in the parade lap? Thanks! Smiley

There is no cap to the number of Monsters we’re going to have on track. Only requirement is that you are riding a Monster and have proper gear (details to come on this). All you have to do to participate is show up with the group coming up from SoCal or show up at the designated time (Exact time TBD, but expect it to be late afternoon). If you intend to come for any or all of the ride, make sure to RSVP on the meetup page, so we can estimate how many folks will be there and plan accordingly.
