Hey guys,

So i replaced my handlebars over the weekend. Went for a ride and noticed that the rubber grip on my throttle side was slipping a round over the throttle housing. I tried to match the grooves back up but it still seems to slip out now.  Thinking I'm going to need replacement grips but was wondering if anyone has any recommendations?

As I have a s2r and I've heard we have this weird triangular thingy that sticks up from the throttle housing. Does anyone know any replacement grips that has the mold to fit over it? I would not mind the stock OEM grips (what brand is that?) as I've never had any issues with discomfort on my wrists. Thanks!

You like a soft and cushy?  I'm running ODI Cush grips on my 796 and am mostly pleased - huge difference from stock.  I still want something even softer so I'm going mountain bike grips next time around...nothing compares for comfort.  I have Eastern Fuquay-Flyer grips on my mountain bike and they are amazing - they will end up on the 796 eventually.

I have the Rizoma grips. They completely replace the grips with a metal tube and rubber area. Not real cushy, but I like them...

I've actually never tried soft grips but I've never had issues with the stock ones either. Will see if I can find some to feel.

I was searching thru the forum and I kept hearing about issues with the rizoma grips? Something about a cheap part that would fail. So I didn't bother researching into them more.

Any issues with the throttle nob that stucks out? Or did you file that off?

I put a new throttle tube on it. I think it was a barracuda. http://bellissimoto.com/BarracudaGripsandBarEnds.html

Thanks for the pic! Do you notice the palm rest while riding or you don't notice it after awhile?
