LED Break Light Is Stuck On!!!

I have a 2000 Ducati Monster 900ie which was working perfectly at the end of the riding season last year but when we went to stat it and clean it up this year we noticed that the break light is stuck on. Our blinker lights work perfectly but I can't figure out why the running light and break light won't work like they should. Please help because I can't start the season until this problem is fixed.

First, ask a Mod to merge the two threads so all the replies are in one thread.  It seems you inadvertently posted twice.

Follow Krolik's advice to see if a sticking or maladjusted switch is the cause (most likely).   If the light is still on with both disconnected the problem is either i8n the wiring or the light itself.  Grey/red is stop, white/green is tail.

Check the brake pedal. I dropped my bike last year (forgot the bars were locked while pushing it, tried to straighten it up, aaand it hit the pavement) and it bent the brake pedal a little bit. Now, after I hit the rear brake I have lift up the rear pedal so the brake light doesn't stay on.

If your brake pedal is bent that could be it.

Also, word of caution: I didn't realize my brake light was stuck on so my taillight ended up burning out and I had to replace it.

I'm sure you've already checked, but mine was doing the same thing last week along with the speedometer not working. Took me four hours of checking everything else to realize it was a blown fuse. A "Doh!" moment indeed.

We got it fixed and it turned out it was just a blown fuse! For whatever reason it took 3 fuses before we found one that didn't blow.
