Help with Exhust Canister Compatibility

Hey All,
So I have 2009 Ducati Monster 696 which has a small dent on the end of one of my exhaust canisters (see photo). I'm looking to replace the canister via ebay, but I'm not sure which canisters are compatible with my model monsters since none for the auctions seem to be fore my year monster.

Are the canisters from all 2009 Monster models compatible (ie could I use the cans from a '09 1100 or 1100S)?
Could I use the cans from a later version Monster, like a 2010 -2011 696 or 796 (which have those black pointy heat shields which personally I like more)?
