So I just picked this up. Needed that stupid reflective vest to get on base. So I figured anything worth doing is worth overdoing. First impressions, initially rides a bit high in the chest if it has a little load. Strap adjustments settle it nicely though. VERY reflective/visible. Lots of padding, so empty the pack is a bit on the heavy side. Has a cool pocket that unfolds to hold a helmet if you're going to be off the bike for a bit. Lots of pockets, most appear waterproof/resistant. It has a laptop pocket, which unfortunately doesn't fit my laptop. If I take it with me, it'll have to go in the main area.
There are these odd, but I imagine effective, velcro sleeves that attach to the top straps. I doubt I'll wear them, the backpack itself draws plenty of attention.
I'm interested to see how well it travels. So far I have a one way 65 mile trip on it...

Well, after about 1000 miles with this, I'm pretty happy with it. The weight you really don't notice, doesn't seem to cause any excessive drag at speeds into triple digits. I've had my full uniform including boots in it with no problem. I would consider this a weekend pack.

So, in yesterday's downpour here in SoCal, the backpack's water resistence was tested. It failed. While not miserably so, at best I would rate it as "water resistent". Some of the items inside were wet, but not soaked. Considering the sheer amount of water that was coming down yesterday, it did OK.

So, 8 months into this backpack and about 14K miles with it. It is starting to fall apart in a couple areas. On the front straps where the reflective panels attach, they are now separating from the stitching. While this doesn't compromise the structuaral integrity, it affects the visibility and shows poor workmanship IMO.
