I originally picked this up when I intended to swap in a DS1000 engine. But now that I'm going with the carby 900ss its no longer mandatory. How huge of an upgrade is this box vs the factory ignition? The engine is going to remain stock and I'm no racer, just a street rider. I will be using my FCRs with the 900ss engine.

Thanks for your input.

Have you priced Kokusan ignitor boxes?

Keep the ignitech for insurance.

The TCIp4 is infinitely superior to the Kokusan boxes.

But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I'm leaning towards keeping it. Just hoping I don't have trouble tuning it.

Per DP's suggestion I just checked ebay for used, crusty ignitors. Holy crap...keeping this for damn sure.
