I just received a set of Terginoni high mount slip ons from another forum member, and am working to install them.  Unfortunately I have no instructions, have never seen an installed set in person, and am not sure if I have all the parts (but there cant be that much, right?).  I am looking at how the brackets need to mount to the frame, and am not confident that I have the right idea.  Anyone have pics of the bracketry and underseat photos that can help me get going?  I'd really appreciate it!

I've been searching for threads and pics on this and TOB, but have had no luck so far!

IIRC, the brackets mount under the seat where the lacth/key are... not too sure how they actually bolt on, though

I won't be back to the office until Monday, but if you send me an email to anthony@commoto.com I'll send you the install file - I have it on my computer there. That is, if you don't have it done by then.

Thanks!

I'll send you an email if I can't get these on by the weekends end.

This guy had some pictures of his exhaust. Maybe you're able to figure out something by looking at them?

Thanks for the link.  I guess I should specify that I have an '95 M900.

OK, I've made some progress and see where the brackets install.  I'll need to visit the hardware store for some bolts that are longer.  The big dilemna now:  what happens to the lock for the seat release?  The bracket won't clear the lever.  Do you need to relocate it?  Any ideas?

Thanks!

I used some washers from an auto-parts store to help shim the bracket a bit.  I just played around w/ it until I got it right.

I have a 98.
you have  to bend the seat release leverbackwards so the bracket fits.
there are two collars for the bolts which leave room for  the cables.

I'm guessing you didnt  get the whole kit from this other guy because the kit includes everything you need.

There are alot of parts in the hi level fitting kit.

There are two bolts and collar spacers  which mount the larger bracket using the holes for mounting the plastic thing under the seat.

Then theres longer bolts and washers for the seat lock the smaller bracket uses these.

There is 1 " spacer and 7  1/2" spacers for the footpeg hangers. and longer bolts. 2 different sizes.

Hey there, nice choice on the high mounts, they are going to look great..

I have a 2001 monster 900, and I"m looking for pipes to install on mine, currently have stock.

Any ideas if I should just get Termi's and do you know where I can get a great deal on some?

Thanks

I've wanted Termignoni cans for years, just never pulled the trigger until recently.  I called around to dealerships/suppliers, and the parts were no longer available, so I went to the used market.  You may need to as well, or do a better job than I with the searching.

I can't reccomend Termignoni highly enough at this point.  Easy install if you have all the parts (I picked up the rest at the hardware store), and they sound great.  Obviously the best mod I've done so far.  I also considered Arrow, which my brother has, and would recommend them as well.  I just went with what I really wanted, I guess.  But either would be a great choice...

weemonster - thank you for the details, that helps a lot.  If you find your self next to the bike with a camera one day, would you snap a pic for me?  Thanks!
