I'm looking to buy either the aluminum or carbon slip-ons for my matte black 2009 Monster 696. I'm not big on have decals and brands all over my nice clean bike so I wanted to know if I can remove that "T" sticker off the pipes? Has anyone successfully removed the stickers off the pipes? Is it even possible? Will they come off cleanly or will it leave a residue behind on the pipes? Any info on this will be a big help. Thanks.

Just peal off and use a mild adhesive remover - like a citrus oil one to remove any left overs.

I just took mine off after 500 miles and they came right off.  No need to heat up, no residue left behind.

Asphalt works very well. But you'll be replacing more than the decals. bang head

Thanks guys. Any thoughts on which finish to get for a matte black 696? Aluminum or Carbon?

Peel it off first and if there is any glue left behind use Goof Off.
