Mirrors you decide
«
on:
June 08, 2013, 02:42:29 AM »
Was at Hoss's house this arvo (aka Bwian)
Just advising Paul and Hoss ,on the final fittment and quality control on various items.
Comments were Made (not buy me) on a rather expensive pair of Rizzoma Class retro mirrors.
That the bike looks like a Long Horn Steer with the Retro mirrors.
Hoss
Long horn
Hoss's ride
Can we have constructive comments whether or not Hoss has made the right decission

Underslung would look better IMHO.

Hi. I’m Troy McClure. You may remember me from such self-help tapes as “Smoke Yourself Thin” and “Get Some Confidence, Stupid!”
NYTimes: "...highlights of his global tour include encounters with Nelson Mandela, an 800-year-old demigod and a dildo collector."

This was considered and tried, not perfect either
Hang to low, you have to Drop your eyes too far to look, not ideal, could be a saftey issue ,compared to say stock mirrors are generally made so you only have look left or right with out dropping your eyes,or take you sight away from were your headed,if you get my drift
Not only that Long horns have tried it as well

The finest mirrors I've ever used.
Prefer em not underslung but rolled a little further forward for a lower profile.

Here, we finally have a human being of substance, practically plus intelligence..........
Gotta be a croweater Ungy ? S.A. got migrants of substance, a lot of quality German stock, NSW ended up with the dregs, riff raff to put it mildly , most were hidden up on our nthn beaches..... enough said there..........
Mirrors are growing on me, though a certain few lower class people are trying their darndest to shit stir/berate me re them. As for practicality and vision nothing compares. I can always buy a $40 pair of Chinese knockoffs of Rizoma's reverse reteros as the oval shaped mirror lens should fit perfectly. Word has it that "the cook" spotted the photo when Wobbart was on the puter and loved them
Ungy, you are right i'm sure, re getting them lower, as close down to the bar as possible, out to the cave i go now mate

+1. I've seen bugger all behind me since I sold mine to another discerning (ex-Victorian) OzMo.
Can I 'ave 'em back now H? (In W.A. you don't need good mirrors to tell you there's absolutely bugger all behind you but sand).

I rotated/dropped the bars a tad Ungy, then brought the mirrors down as far as i could, much better now. Also, the photos taken exaggerate them but that was their aim I gather.
