Awesome Movie!!! On a side note the closest I've ever come to pulling the trigger on someone was when I got involved in a situation like that. After I stepped in one guy threatened to go get a gun, I turned around and reached in my truck, I told him not to bother i already had one and they needed to leave NOW!  Scared the shit outta me, I'd much prefer a little fist-to-cuffs.

Wow guys. Thanks for all the kind words. Sorry I haven't been on all weekend. I was sleeping pretty much the whole weekend. My SO convinced me to go to the hospital and turns out my right ankle is broken (edit: just a correction - turns out its only ligimant damage and a small broken bone in my foot - hooray!) and I have a concussion.

It probably was VS. First they ban me - now this.

Just to add to the story. I did get some serious shots in. I pretty much just focussed on the first attacker and kept hitting his face till he stopped fighting. The guy kicking my head decided to come in for a closer look so I got a hold of his shirt and drove my thumb as far as I could into his eye socket. At least they earned their 60 bucks.

Looking back I think I was actually really really lucky. It could have been much worse. Knives, guns.. me dead or worse... I would like to take back some of my initial cynicism and say that there are some good folks - lots of good folks out there. They were just all on vacation last week.

I also don't want to dump on Canada too much. It is and always will be my first home. There are assholes in every country. Mine's no different.

TIB -  I am still coming out - the visa is taking forever. Might not be until Fall now.

edit: Oh and it was a straight up robbery. Guy put his finger in his shirt mimicking a gun. I laughed and told him to make the beast with two backs off. It escalated from there.

Ruff week,,,holycrap. As for your last incident. These so called pedestrian crosswalks. Its a wonder there arnt more people killed on those. When I 1st moved to Alberta they caught me off guard. I fricken near T Boned a car that stopped directly in front of me,,,,,,like,, wtf. Why was he stopping in the middle of the road where there was no stop sign or traffic light ? ?.
