A small birdy has informed me...

Shocked Shocked Shocked 1198cc 150hp 2014 monster is a go. Unveiling at EICMA Shocked Shocked Shocked

sounds like a MultiStroodle motor...

I feel as though that bike would encroach too much on the diavel...

I can't wait to see the finished bike. Going to seriously be thinking about trading the 1100 evo.

If that is what the finished bike looks like it looks a return to chicken wing passenger pegs.  Sure like the thought of 150hp but I really like my air cooled motor.....

SOOO CONFLICTED!!!

IF that is the close to final design, it's the 1199 motor, not the MTS/Diavel motor

The old motors can't support the frame like that one is being held, that's the Pani frame style

Take this for what you will, but the same birdy told me the new monster will use the tried and true testastretta 11 from the Diavel, not a derivative of the 1199.  That motor will be reserved for the baby Panigale "899", which should be introduced at the same time as the new Monster.  Also, some tweaks coming for the 1199 improving reliability and maintenance intervals.  Apparently there has been an inordinate amount of warranty claims on the 1199 so maybe not a bad thing the new Monster uses the Diavel lump ~

I've been waiting for this for a while.  I like the concept of the SF, but want the looks of the Monster.  Fingers crossed it looks like a Monster and not a Diavel.  I'm subscribing to this thread now.
