I figure as much, unless one of you has a bright idea. For my frankenmonster, 96 900 SS engine in a 2001.

How about a bushing for the frame?

I'm a little embarrassed to reveal my current solution  :-[. Was hoping there was a frame slider that took care of both problems at once.

A bush is probably the best option.  Have one made or find something to fit.

You can probably use a bearing bush given the wall thickness -- less than 1mm all around.

You could also pm Monsterlover here on the board.

He has a machine shop and turning is his specialty.

Why not use a really long drill bit and "carefully" make the motor 12mm?

I was serious, but if you want "least likely to put your heart in your throat" then the bushing idea that Nate and Izaak mentioned is your safest bet.
I'm not sure anyone makes 10mm sliders though, that's why I mentioned going the other way.

On a side note, Izaak, I don't know many folks that ride motorcycles that don't take what some might "consider" chances...  ;)

I've seen counterbore bits that are like a drill bit with a pilot. Buy or make something with a 10mm pilot and 12mm drill. That'd go straight down the hole.

It's a good idea but I'm past considering this option.
