Recommendation for hard-anodizing
«
on:

Hi all - I have a set of fork tubes I wish to have hard-anodized.
Can anyone recommend someone/place for the job -- perhaps on the east coast?

Why hard ano vs the traditional process?

Probably doesn't want the typical faded purple/bronze that you get from most traditional black ano'd parts that are exposed to UV.

or maybe he feels the hard ano will outlast the very thin TiN coating on most forks.

I figured he was talking about the outer tubes. Aren't the sliders steel?

Yes, the outer aluminum tubes, not the sliders.
