Yeah, I went back and had a proper read of the VicRoads page.  I see that those north of the Banana Curtain are planning to remain in the past.  

So no surprises there then, eh....  laughingdp cheeky

you're not the only one - I got my bike from Vic.  When I registered here in SA I got a standard car plate, no choice - I couldn't put it on the bike as the number plate holes didnt line up with factory holder.  So I placed the plates in my backpack and rode home.  Was waiting to get pulled over.  The reason for the big plates is it is easier to read on camera...

What?  So in SA bikes just get the next (full sized) vehicle plate in the list Huh? 

One size fits all (or not as in your case)?

No distinction between vehicle types at all?
