So I have drooled over the Speedy Moto belt covers for a while and was planning on buying them to avoid carbon fiber overload when looking at the bike.  I discovered that the 2013 Evo is just different enough that the covers they currently make don't fit.

Wanting to finish up my level one mods I have called them three times (never an answer) and emailed them four times asking when (or if) the new belt covers will be out.  I am disappointed that I have gone two weeks now without so much as a return email or call.  As such I am thinking of not ever buying any Speedy Moto products and am wondering if there is anything out there for covers I may have missed.

Rizoma or Carbon seems to be all I can find.......

Perhaps a call to one of our board sponsors who sells SpeedyMoto might help?

No, the sponsor thought it was 09 when they changed out to the style of belt cover that is also on the 2013.  I am just crying because I want them as they were part of my artistic vision  laughingdp when I planned out my mods.

I suppose it is okay that they are unavailable because as soon as they were on I was planning on the clear wet clutch mod......  I am off to finish off the rest of the CF on the bike and will likely settle for the carbon belt covers and oil cooler shroud for now.

Sadly I have the carbon bug now and after seeing the Carbonvanni body work I have been unable to roll over while sleeping at night  Grin

Lol, I will try to get some pics tomorrow.  She is looking pretty nice, might go ahead and finish up the carbon bits this month.  It is simply too difficult to see some Carbon and some plastic.  It feels like a half ass job not replacing all the plastic at one shot.  bang head

I can be (probably?) mistaken, butt I think the only difference between the 09 and 13 1100s is that the new ones do not have the second spark plug. So the earlier belt covers will work, you just need to do something with the hole for the plug.

I would love it if they fit.  However with SM not bothering to return calls or emails I am thinking maybe I don't want to buy anything from them.  I will give it one last try but if I get zero response again I simply won't ever buy anything from them.......

I am a great customer,  I am an easy sell as I usually already know what I want.  However when I can't get return calls or emails I think to myself, screw'em they obviously don't need the money.

Earlier I had put up a longish post about Speedy Moto,, so long I deleted it.  So I decided to sum it up.

Several voicemail messages and several emails with no response.  I will not be buying any Speedy Moto products ever.  If they can't return my calls or emails they don't need my money.

Looks like carbon belt covers......  Bummer as I really wanted the shiny open look.  Oh well as it will save me doing a clear wet clutch case mod as we all know you can't have open belts and a closed clutch or visa-versa.

So if you sent some emails and phone calls to Ford and they didn't get back to you quickly enough would you never buy another of their products again?

Spike, after several weeks of trying?  You bet.  I don't like Fords anyway.......  Grin

It takes me but a single email to contact Dodge and I recently got them on the phone in the first try.

A call to any of the dozens of vendors for speedymoto would tell you exactly what they fit (which to my knowledge is everything)

speedymoto has a crew of under 10, pretty easy for an email to get lost in the shuffle or sent to the junk file. Ive never had anything but excellent communication from them.

in one instance, I had frame sliders not working on a diavel. speedymoto's response was for the OWNER OF THE COMPANY to come to my shop and sort it out in under an hour. This is not a company that is content to ignore its customers.

I had a similar experience as Skybarney did when trying to determine the availability of belt covers from SpeedyMoto to fit an 1100 EVO, so fully understand his frustration with them.

While understanding that they are not a large corporation, it seems to me that if you hold yourself out to be an accessory manufacturer you ought to be capable of responding to inquiries. It also seems that it would not be difficult for them to respond to the inquiries with a single update in either their web site or FaceBook.

As for those saying one of the earlier models will fit, I suggest they take a closer look at the differences between the cover attach locations and provisions of the earlier models and the EVO. I have spent some time doing so, wondering if I could do a retrofit, and have not been able to come up with a solution which would be aesthetically acceptable. Obviously, SpeedyMoto has reached the same determination. If someone smarter than me has done it, or knows how to do it, I would be very grateful if they could provide the details. BTW, I have a mill and a lathe and many years experience fabbing billet parts for bikes, so I should be able to follow instructions if they are offered.
