Aluminum.

It gets surprisingly warm, which tells me it's doing its job.

Hi  Smiley

Here a little mod that I've been waiting to do for a long time  Grin  I've just bought a dremel so let's cut !!!
A part that I never really like on the monster is the rear seat cowl ...it has those "flange" on the side that doesn't really fallow the line of the bike so after a couple of month looking at it I've decide to "redesign" it

so let's cut  applause Grin...make sure to wear safety glasses Cool , a mask and some gloves !!!!!fiberglass is really nasty stuff it can get into your eyes and your lung's

here a hole to secure it to the seat

and voila    it's now just need a little paint  will I'll do latter

Nicely done.  applause

Course now your passenger grab handles stick out like dumbo ears.  Time to fire up that Dremel again.  Wink

those will be gone at the end of the summer ... I intend to overhaul the bike this winter so when it's gonna be all apart ill cut those + the brackets for the ugly plastic side panel's that I've already take off

Pretty sure that's a Ducati Performance tank, available as an aftermarket accessory.

I bought a spare set of OEM rear sets for my M696 off of ebay to mod. I chopped off the passenger pegs & the long part that held them, and then sprayed them in wrinkle black paint. They came out OK, but I wish I would have waited a few more days before installing them. The paint was still soft so there are some blemishes in the finish. Oh well, it only cost me about $45 and I still have my stock set if I ever need them.
