Suddenly running very rich (2011 - 696)

I just had my 2011 696 in for its 15k service. The bike ran great for a couple of hundred miles, then all of the sudden as I was on my way home, it began running weird. It lost some power, and it idles roughly at 800. When I hooked up the computer to the PC-V, I noticed the AFR for both front and back cylinders at idle would fluctuate between 9.8 -10.3. I made sure that the Autotune was not enabled, and even if it were, the AFR values were definitely not set that low. The only thing that happened to the bike was I got caught in the rain on the way home from work the day prior to the bike acting funny. Could this be caused by a wet / clogged air filter?

Edit: Forgot to mention that I let the bike site for three days after this to see if it was just due to water. Also, I tried turning the air flow screws to see if the AFR would change at idle, but no change.

double check the o2 sensors are hooked up.

ManaloEA

Had the stock O2 sensors removed with a reflash. The stock sensors have been removed and replaced with the Autotune wideband sensors. Even tried unplugging the PC-V from the throttle body and plug the FI wires back up. Still the same results.

fuel injector could be stuck open.

did you pull the plugs

Temperature sensors working properly?

TPS set?

Howie. Temperature sensor seems ok. TPS seems to be working as well, or at least the PC-V can sense when I twist the throttle.

Raux, can't tell if the FI is stuck open. The throttle cam on the throttle body turns and returns like normal. Haven't pulled it apart to see if there is something internal. Is there anything external that I can watch to see if things are stuck?

Pulling the plugs tonight. But here's the weird thing. The PC-V / Autotune has 2 wideband sensors. The two sensors are giving readings of 9.9 to 10.8, and seem to be reading independently. A single bad plug would (and correct me if this is incorrect) have one sensor reading rich, while the other is ok... wouldn't it?

ok let's start over.

Have you completely disconnected the PCV/Autotune and checked the bike to see if all is normal?

ManaloEA

Yes. That was one of the first things I did. Was not sure if the PC-V or the Autotune was bad. So, first I disabled the Autotune and reloaded a previous map. No luck. Then I unhooked the PC-V to see if going directly to the ECU would fix the problem, but no luck on that either.

Possible failed cylinder temperature sensor, TPS sensor or other input.  It could even be a vacuum leak closed loop is trying to compensate for.  Get a scan tool on the bike before replacing anything.   Yes, it could be a computer, but guess work can be costly.

Could a bad ignition coil cause this type of behavior?

Pulled the plugs last night, and of course they were fouled and wet with fuel. So i cleaned them and checked the gap. Put the plugs back, and fired up then bike. It seemed to run fine for about a minute. Then it started running badly again.

The plugs smelled funny though,  can't figure what other than fuel it smells like.
