Hello,

I recently repainted my M620 tank and need advice whether the green o-ring on the fuel filler clange should be reused or replaced?

If so, is there an economical way to obtain 2 of these o-rings? I do not have a nearby dealer and prefer to order online. I thought I had seen this in a thread, but am unable to find it.

thanks!

If it's not damaged, and it fits snugly in the groove, you can re-use it.

Replacements can be had here:

Or at your local dealer.

I bought a pack of 5 viton o-rings from McMaster for about 8 bucks shipped to my door. The OEM ring was somewhere around $14 for one...and in my case, it wasn't the right size.

I'd sell you the leftovers I have but depending on where you are, McMaster could have it to your door quicker.

Of course, I would never want to dissuade you from using a site sponsor for OEM parts either  [beer]

I have a cap holder I use for coating tanks. It's been in and out of tanks probably 1000 times.

I had to replace the o-ring once when I used it to remove a failed Kreem job with MEK as the solvent which swelled the o-ring.
