Now I see what Stormtrooper was saying about the Chicken Wings.  Personally the only place I want to see chicken wings is Hooters.  Screw matte black, you need rearsets!

yes, i know.. I hate the chicken wings. the problem is, I hate the shotgun side style muffler of the evos. So, if i ditch the chicken wings, i lose the passenger. My girl is smokin hot... therefore thats not an option. lol.
So what are my options.
1. Style and performance replacment passenger pegs which clear underseat exhaust. In my opinion. theyre not very good looking.. clunkier than the chicken wing setup.. and aesthectically, ANYTHING that interferes with the SSS display of the rear wheel just takes away from the beauty of it.
2.  powder coat the chicken wing. This is my most likely avenue. I see the 796 has the chicken wing blacked out.. and it visually just disappears, and doesnt interrfere with the lines of the bike.

good eye. No. im leaving that as is. Personally, im surprised you noticed. The way I see it, its barely noticeable. Most of the front rim is covered by the rotor, caliper, fender brake lines etc.  I powder coated it black and that allowed me to not have to swap out the rotors. If you swap in s2r wheels, you cannot use the 796/1100 front rotors. Bolt pattern doesnt match.

the S&P passenger pegs are pretty high, ask Anchorism to shoot a side shot with them on his 796 to see the visual aspects

two other aftermarket rearsets have the chicken wing style with removable passenger 'wings'

if i'm not mistaken, you'd also need to mod your subframe or pick one up from an evo , because i dont believe that others have the fitting for the evo passenger pegs, so +1 for powdercoating the ones you've got.  the s2r wheel is a good swap too  waytogo

yea, honestly. Im starting to like the line of the chicken wings in black. They flow and kind of dissapear. They only stand out on my bike so much as theyre the only things left in that color. I wish i could find someone who has swapped out their black chiken wings!!!! argh.
