Screw the scooter scene, this is actually cool, in a humorous sort of way...

I'm not liking all those sharp angles they have on these bikes these days, but that's just me.

I'll give a better report once I've had time to play with it a bit more
but ...it rides nice, tops out around 70 (downhill with a favorable wind  Grin) completely stock without any mods at all
(which means there is a good bit of potential there).

I'll putt around this weekend and letcha' know what I think.   waytogo

Rode back roads with a Grom rider.  Looks like fun. He was keeping up about 60mph.  Seems like nice bike but personally I would tire of it quickly.

It, for me, can't replace a full size bike,
but in my suburban neighborhood it works for now.

There are several "bike paths" I can take with the Grom that, with it's small size and quiet nature,
will let me slip by unnoticed, but a 900SS wouldn't really work too good for that.
I want to put a lighting kill switch in for when I'm offroad -to improve it's stealthyness a bit more.
(it is quieter than my Z50R!)

Buzzing to the corner-store for a sixpack or the grocery for burger buns just got fun again,
but as fun as it is the Grom is no replacement for a proper trackday-capable bike!   waytogo

i'm pretty sure that's exactly what it's designed to be - a fun little kick around bike.  it'd be perfect if i could figure out how to get the girlfriend learn to ride one.

it looks a little too serious to me to be ripping down the bike path, but let us know how that works out - i feel like you need something with pedals for that...like the motoped.  which i want too.

Honda trademarked the word Grom? They likely don't even know what it means.
