I supply a lot of tooling for machine shops in the area.  A couple of my accounts have these FANUC brand robot arms that they program to load and unload machines.

These guys decided to mount a chair and 5pt harness on the end of one  [laugh]

Hilarity ensues.

Oh, and because it's here now and I have to use it. . . bacon smiley!   [bacon] [bacon] [bacon]

There is no way in hell I'd strap myself to that.  I've known too many robots, and too many software developers, to trust myself to an industrial twisting/ripping/smashing arm.  It's so strong that, if it decides to push you through the floor, it will.

That's what I thought.  His head came awfully close to the ground at times.

I'd do it ;D

+1 on that. I worked with some of the first industrial robots in the Nuke industry. Does look like fun though.

I do believe I'd wear full gear though.

If you drive the nicest car in the neighborhood, work in a cash business, and don't pay taxes, you're either a preacher or a drug dealer...

Sorry, but I am going to have to report this. I did not see steel toe shoes, safety glasses, or proper hearing protection on the "material" being moved.
