1100 EVO Handlebar Swap?

A disturbing trend has developed on my rides this summer, and the time has come to act.
At about 80-90 miles, wrist pain sets in. I've tried all manner of anti-inflammatories, but haven't found the Magic Bullet. When the focus of the ride switches to pain, concentration is lost, and a fix must be found.
I thought about a quick and easy approach like some wrist wraps, but I think this would just band-aid the situation.
So I'm looking at a handlebar swap, and I'd like to know about others' experiences.
When I sit in a chair and hold out my arms on imaginary bars, the angles are all quite different from the OEM Monster bars. I think this is what I need. More sweep-back, a lower bend, and maybe a bit of rise.
I seek enlightenment from the wisdom pool.... Any recommendations?

is it both or just the right?
if it's just the right, look at the angle of your wrist on the throttle at those speeds.
I use an eleactraeon throttle cam to reduce the twist
is your grip loose or do you have death grip going?

It's both wrists and my grip is always loose.
Oh, and I meant 80-90 miles, not mph.

the bars you are describing, more of a sweep, lower bend, higher rise, could resemblt the rizoma bars.
most are reporting of good experiences with them. for taller, more swept bars, be wary of needing longer throttle/brake cables.

Where you been?
You might want to go with the 796 riser too if your EVO isn't late enough to have it. Bar is ~ 5/8" higher and sweep is ~ 2 1/2". MUCH better. I didn't pick mine up until all my tweaks were done. Not my first rodeo...

My experience with wrist pain on the Evo was similar as yours. No problem with my other two bikes. One of them had Rizomas, so I bought one for the Evo. After installing the Rizoma bar I have never had a problem with my wrists again.

Does yours already have the taller 796 riser? If not, consider that too..., as in my snap above. Mine is # MA008A. Cables are long enough but need to be re-routed slightly.
You should also sit on the bike and let the dealer drill the locating holes for the controls so that you can adjust the mirrors properly. Your racer kid in Santa Barbara ought to be able to handle THAT for you...
Just don't get some jerk to do it or your throttle may open in the middle of a right turn.

MA008 has 20mm more rise than MA005, right? El-twin is not as old as I, but he's still an old fart.
I could still use another 10mm but didn't care for the mix of mods required to achieve that.
You are selling MA005 as the "touring" version? Why not MA008? BTW, the silver one looks stock..., only better!

I don't know how the 1100 EVO riser compares to the 796 version. But I do want some more rise, so I will investigate.

Thanks Jeff. Yes, it's the MA005 that I'm looking at because it has a 20 mm lower bend than the MA008, and 2 degrees more sweep-back (if I'm understanding this correctly).
