Clutch Micro Switch

Hey guys,
I just replaced my master cylinders for those off a 1098. Everything is working fine except the micro switch on the clutch (the switch that lets me start my bike in gear with the clutch pulled in). The stock one had two wires coming out of it - blue and black, and the 1098 had blue and brown. I tried mating the wires both ways and neither seems to work. Is the 1098 switch wired differently internally or should I just assume it's faulty?

I wouldn't assume anything.

Do you have an ohm meter to test the switch?

Well after this morning's ride to pick up a multi-meter I feel like an idiot. Apparently I just wasn't pulling the lever far enough. I ride with two fingers on the grip and two on the lever and pull until the lever hits my grip fingers. This was just shy of activating the switch which makes an audible little click. For anyone looking to install these masters just pair the wires to your OEM switch - blue to blue and brown to black.

IIRC, the switch has a long blade on it, likely bent a bit, as it's very poorly protected.

You should be able to *gently* tweak the blade such that it'll work for your usual clutch pull.

I have similar issue.
I replaced clutch master cyl and there is no place to stick microswitch like it is on brake master cyl. Had to hot-wire it.
Does anyone had the same and how deal with it?
I am not pro in tech questions, but as any rider have some experience that I can share without claiming to absolute truth. Please use my advices responsibly.
