cam belt replacement intervals

I have a 2007 S2R 800 Monster - what is the replacement interval for the cam belts? It's been 2 yrs. and 11000 kms. since they were last replaced. Any suggestions much appreciated.

2 yrs or 12000 miles.

how do they looks? open covers? exposed to the elements during storage?

it is time or mileage - whichever is first...

having said that i bought a 696 with original belts on it and it was 4 yrs old.

it worked fine, but the tension was low.

YMMV.

No, 12,000 miles. It's 20,000 Km - so really just over 12,000 miles.

And yes, age or miles/km whichever mark is hit first.

Sorry, mixed them with valve clearance check (at every 12' km)
Belts replacement are two years/24,000km
