Living in the foothills in Nor-Cal has me riding days with big elevation changes and due to my business I ride most often in the fall and winter. After playing with the Multistrada I realized that heated grips are pretty darn neat. Today I spent some time looking around online and disliked most of what I found. Goofy toggle switches, tons of wiring etc etc. Then I found these. http://www.powersportparts.net/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=4792152Anyone tried these? Thoughts? |

I've not tried those, but I've installed two other brands. Those look way neater, both in cleanliness of install and in features.
Price seems decent, too. A review I found says they are independently controllable.
The only possible downside depends on the likelihood of inadvertently pushing the button while riding and ending up with a setting you don't want.

Why not just get Oxfords? They work very well and I think run about $80 last time I checked (a couple years ago).

I think Skybarney is looking for a cleaner install than the Oxfords give. They have only enough wire to run around a Monster twice.
I'm running the cheapo manual install heater elements on the Zook, but it has steel handlebars. It's my understanding that the "glue-in" heater elements treat an aluminum bar like a massive heat sink... and thus require further trickery to install.
The recommended advice that I have seen is a plastic insulator and an extra throttle-sized grip on the left.

Yup looking for a clean install. Turns out that they will work with bar ends. I thought I saw a big silver integrated bar end in the pics but they were for the bike they took the pics from. I just ordered a pair and we will see how they go on. The little buttons integrated and led on the grip are really nifty. All the others have switches that have to be mounted somewhere and lots of external wires. I will wait for the grips to show up before installing the MA005 Rizoma bar sitting in the shop.
Now I have to figure out where to hide the Screaming Banshee horn I am gonna buy.

I use a heated vest, install is very easy and it keeps my whole body warm.  |
