Id be surprised if the seller lets it go for that but then he/she might be desperate to sell.

Wouldn't say they have gone out of flavour or there would be heaps on bike sales Tongue

There are always going to be bargains just when your not ready or the timing is not right time to buy Cry (murphys law )

12 months ago Miska paid 12k for an 08 S4R Tessta with 12000klm Termi slipons one old fart owner, all the original gear paddock stand bagster tank cover etc etc. Wink

Depending on the year $10500 not an unrealistic price these days, if you wait till something comes along.

I think I have to kind of agree with you Bazz
Apart from the addicted   Roll Eyes  here and on other Ducati sites , there is just so much to offer in the market place today
Paying a premium price compared to other brands must be making an effect not to mention the ripple effect
that MotoGP must be making on tarnishing the brand. Embarrassed
To be brutely honest Ducati is continually being seen with its pants down in the paddock . bang head

But I have to admit looking out at my S2R from behind in the carpark at work yesterday I couldn't keep my eyes off it.

After looking at the new MV Augusta brutle 800
I think ducati have lost the way. The MV has it
All over the monster and I think street fighter
Against the s2 or s4 would be a close contest. Thinking
Of moving to MV

Been looking at Bike sales on a regular basis over the past 4 years , the number of Ducati's for sale dosen't change much, if anything thing there are 758 Ducati's  for sale now, and that would be about the lowest number i have seen for ages, usualy gets to the mid 850 bikes for sale.
May be that you are looking you seem to notice more, like when you buy a certain car every one appears to have one?

Not counting the current model Monsters, there arn't many old style Monsters for sale imo?
Your right about the S2R 1000 ,Used to be a lot of near new ones for sale 3 years ago, very slim pickings these days only 4 on bikesales people are hanging on to them.last of the Best Monsters imo Tongue
S4RS and S4r are selling ok i know of 6 that have sold this year for reasonable prices Wink

I think the economy is still very slow as well which wont help the dealers. plus if you could call Ducati's exotic they are always harder to sell, to your average  jap bike rider /Holden Ford driver Roll Eyes, you just can't sell class  Cheesy

thats right , you can only give it away Wink

back to the topic

ebay is a great place to sell a shit bike for a lot of money
and a shit place to sell a great bike for good money

if you want a great bike for cheap if you hang around ebay long enough you will find it
and you should have bought it

i dont care if you have been a mechanic for 10 years doing something for a long time does not make you good at it, take my gf for an example shes been walking for 28 years and still manages to fall over all the time.
