One hungarian wrote me about hot he upgraded his monster 620 ie... this is what he wrote

"The 620ie bike was next: - st2 throttle bodies with IWP 724 injector
                                     - modified airbox (because the injector is bigger)
                                     - st2 wiring harness
                                     - 1.6M ECU (we tried more eprom, the 748 racing eprom was the best, because the stroke is same like the 620)
                                     - the 620 bike is just air cooled, so have to put in to the engine a thermistor because this temperature sign is necessary for the 1.6 ECU"

Do you guys think this is good upgrade?? how many HP would it add??

I suppose you might see a bit more power if you can alter the maps on the chip.

I wouldn't expect an increase due to the other stuff, it just lets you run the 1.6 ECU, so you can run chips.

I'm curious where he put that 1.6 ECU, it's a pretty big box.

Since you are in Europe[if I remember correctly, Slovakia?], I would, if you can that is, go to Germany or look for a Rexxer tuner, get your bike sorted out, TBs, valves, injectors, etc . . . get the bike dyno tuned for you have in the bike.

larger injectors would benefit from a complete head job[valves, polish, cam degreeing, matching injectors for higher flow, etc] and HC pistons, this to extract the most out of the modifications you are talking about . . .

the M620 with very little is a very fun bike, 80% of my modifications have been aesthetically driven . ..  hi performance air filter, hi mounted Termignoni exhaust, TBs/TPS set up correctly, valves correctly set, 14/48 sprockets and I can't ask any more from this bike, is a lot of fun to ride

think about all the money you would have to invest to get a few HP out of it . . . you want more power, get a larger displacement bike

sounds like a great big steaming load of crap to me.  the 620 throttle bodies and injectors are the same as the 1000.

to make more power you need more air in and out and tuned to suit.  head work, compression, displacement or all 3.

Wouldn't it depend on what power band he was running? I swapped the power band on my 695 from the stock yellow to a red one, and reckon I saw an extra 10 hp.

I've got one of the very rare and expensive *gold* power bands.
Unbelievable how much it improved my M750.
