I have 3 presently but would add more if I had the space.  Just buy something nice for the Wife and store those points for your "purchase" that has no rational explanation, after all that's what men do.

3 - 2 race bikes, and a dirt bike.

My wife's rule is I can have as many as I want as long as I never owe money on more than one at a time (and we have some place to keep them).  waytogo

Usually have 3.
A street bike (Monster).
A vintage bike (Aermacchi/HD 350SS)
A track bike (GSXR)

I sold the track bike, but I am looking for a new(er) track bike currently.

I have had up to 5 at one time, but me having 5 bikes to ride (and maintain) didn't bring the joy I thought it would.

This morning, my son expressed an interest in riding dirt bikes with his dear old dad. Tongue

So, 2 right now, but 3 soon and maybe 5 by next Spring! Huh?

pesto and Kev M are getting the hang of it  waytogo

But I'm not kidding, he's like a friggin' hoarder. Got the thumbs up to ride and suddenly sold off 2 BMWs and a 67 Firebird and started FILLING his garage (the 6 car detached garage/play area) with bikes, mostly old Hondas, it's a little sick.

The nice ones he's got include:

2013 Guzzi V7 Racer
2006 Guzzi Breva (my old one)
Honda VFR 750
Honda VFR 400 (gray market)
Some sorta water-cooled Vespa
Honda CB350
BMW R70/5

and LITERALLY about 20-21 other mostly classic Hondas...

Hallo.
I have six.
Monster s4rs, Monster 1100evo, 1198s (race track only), 916SP, Sport Classic 1000 and a Honda XR400...and I want more..and I know I have a  problem...and I explained my wife that nobody needs six bikes but i "collect" them Grin
And the older Ducatis keep up their value pretty good so if I really have to sell em it shouldn´t hurt too much...that is what she knows about it..
I just love bikes and I hate the winter, can´t help it and she knew when we got married Grin
Good luck.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I'm down to 2, the one with the Ducati motor and the 65 Triumph 500. There is too much old furniture in the garage!

He can probably claim them as an investment. Some of those old Hondas are big money now.  We are at 4.5 right now, My 848, Monster, RC51 track bike, a Honda CB550 & a 749 project that I count as half until I can ride it.  Though I think I am being given a GT750 water Buffalo engine so I will have to find a project to use that in.
