OMG Greatest thing ever!!!!

It is currently 16 degrees here in Idaho, warmed up from the -6 last week.. But right now I appreciate my heated gear so much!! I hate the idea of having to plug everything into the bike, such a hassle, especially when you're like me and are already late or just want to go! I have been trying to find battery powered stuff.

I have MobileWarming heated jacket:
http://www.monsterparts.com/pc/MWCypress/Casual/MWCypress.html
I have worn this 2 years now, and the heat lasts all day as I wear it during work and on the bike on a higher setting. This jacket looks super dressy!! I have gotten so many compliments, then people are amazed that it is heating as well!!! (The men's version is really nice too, Jeff has one)

I recently picked up the Volt heated gloves:
http://voltheat.com/product/titan-womens-7v-leather-heated-gloves/
It was a huge challenge for me to find a glove that I liked. I had ordered two prior to these. Both of which were too large to fit my hand. The first the battery was incredibly bulky. The second was Venture, which had a nice design of dual batteries for less bulk, but their XS was excessively large for me. Volt was amazing to deal with! The gloves are amazing, the design is perfect and kept my hands warm into December riding! Definitely a must have! The battery has impressed me. I have yet to charge it, but it is currently on low after 6 or 7 rides with them on 75%.

Just thought I'd share my reviews with how happy and warm I am :)  [Dolph]

I have the same mobile warming vest but don't find it that warm.  :-\
Are these gloves really toasty?

The thing that I like about my obsolete model Gerbings jacket liner is that I rarely need to turn the Warm-N-Safe controller up over half way, leaving plenty of reserve for when it gets REALLY cold. Butt then I live up here in the PAC Nor Wet and I ride year round.

Hopefully my Powerlet jacket and glove liners will be here this week and I will have a personal review.  Meanwhile, I will post up what my riding buddy thought of his new set.  He, like me is not a fan of cold weather.

39 Degrees. skinny summer textile jacket and a long sleeve shirt.  Jacket at 70% he had to lower it to 50%.  Glove liners at 40% with shot summer vented gloves.
No hot spots as the carbon fiber "IR" stuff seems to put off an even heat and neither of us could feel any wires in it.

I plan on running it with Dainese perforated leathers.  We will see if it is warm or not real soon.  My bones HATE cold.

I rode with them when it was 17-19 degrees. My hands were still functionable after riding 30 mins. They kept them really warm!!

I wonder if the vest has less heating areas then the jacket?

My Jacket and liners just showed up.  I should have a report after this weekend.  The reason I went with the Powerlet stuff was the lack of heating pads or wires and that it is wind proof.  I plan on running it under perforated leathers and needed the wind block.  My Alien jacket is so perfed that it flows more air than my alpinestars Mesh.......  If still chilly I am gonna buy an Aerostitch......

Had the Gerbing stuff a few years and hated the wires.  First Gear has pads which made me feel hot spots and cold spots.

Nothing is perfect but I am on a quest to get close.

I've been using Tour Master Synergy stuff for years -- no wires, no complaints.

I've heard they're good, but they don't have anything really for women in the heated dept

They fit a bit too tight?

If those are all to large you may be a good candidate for the Aerostitch inflatable gear.  A couple of companies now are using small air chambers and a blow tube to create airspace.  This is supposed to be the way to go as it not only adds a layer of air it also closes up drafty gaps.

The Powerlet glove liners are going back.  My buddy has a burn on the top of his hand from a cold ride and not realizing it was burning him.  To top that off I cant fit them under any of my extra love gloves at all as they are a bit too thick.  Just gonna bite it and buy some heated gloves and skip the liners.

I ordered a pair of the gloves this morning. It's -1 here in Buffalo this morning before the wind chill. I'm sick of getting frozen fingers by the time I'm done brushing snow off the car.
