Bigger Fuel Tank?

We removed the airbox on our project bike 696 and realized with the space saved we can probably add another gallon to the tank. The questions is, will there be enough interests to make this bigger fuel tank marketable? A full carbon fiber tank in the $1500 price range (also eliminates the covers) or plastic tank in the $500 ballpark?
