Be great to see how the Motec system runs (and dyno charts). Motec are 15 mins from me in Bayswater.
For 2014, more long day and overnight rides and more ride days at Broadford.

There's a guy up here who knows the motec stuff inside out and will set it up and dyno it for me, as i know make the beast with two backs all about them. The only reason i'm using one is because i converted my 888 from 50mm std injection to 54mm shower injection with 12 port injectors etc. etc. with a custom carbon air box. this with the balanced hi comp engine and bigger cams means i need to be able to adjust the ignition and the P8 won't do it, i have stick coils rather than std ones to make room for the air box as well and the dwell is different blah blah so what looked like a simple project has taken the best part of a year, is still not done, and has cost me silly money with having to get a custom loom as well as everything else that has been needed.....
in short, there's too many changes to be able to nail down how much of an improvement is due to just the motec ECU, but the rebuild with the std injection netted me 124 rwhp from 888cc so i'm hoping for 130+ considering they lean out terribly with the std injectors and throttle body size, and i now have the 1098 injectors and 54mm 748R throttle bodies with the restriction bored from 44mm to 50mm.

Wow, you're not joking re project "blowout". Yeah one mod often requires another to support it and so forth.. I'm curious as to who made the airbox. At least you'll have someone who knows the system to map it. A mate's brother races super boats and it seems a lot those guys favour the Motec system. A neighbour worked there and she said they exported to racers worldwide, two wheels and four, water craft, etc. I guess there must be a worldwide support network for tuning, etc. Maybe Brad might know a bit about them.
Should be awesome when its done and worthy of BOMB or a build thread. Be great to see how she goes.

C-bows are a neat, detachable, luggage system from Hepco & Becker. If you like I'll be happy to post a link next time I'm on a computer.
The nice thing about them is they leave behind little hardware.
A Powervision is an aftermarket ECM tuner that allows significant dataloging, mapping, and self-tuning/map correcting.
Thanks, had a look Hepco & Becker gear, looks excellent, quality gear.
