What clip-ons did you get?  Did they go on easily?  I've got an S4rs too and am thinking about the Speedymoto's.

I got a set of Cyclecats back from a buddy. I ran them on my old DS 1000 Monster and sold them off. He started to part the bike out and I managed to get the clip-ons back from him.
They're great if you can em!  Grin

The new speedy moto ones look great, but I think i'd hold out for the rumored Apex bars with risers. Jeff at Monsterparts said they would be coming out sometime in the near future. Personally, I like a little rise.

Glad I wasn't a hard commit.  Family plans changed and I'm out now.

I don't think I've managed one good/fun ride so far this season and the year is half over!  Undecided

Yah,  but I'm gonna shower here in a bit.

I have my 3 day trip coming up.  I'm trying to work out a trip to Bend area.  And I have a 4 day trip I might go on in August so I'll make up in sheer volume what I'm missing out on in weekend rides.

That 4 day trip the guy I'm going with wants to do something close to 900 miles to the destination 2 3-500 mile days while we're there, and then 900 back on the 4th.

I can't help but think 900 on the Monster is gonna be rough.  I wasn't overly pleased with my 600+ day.

Oh, and I'm gonna head up to MotoCorsa in the morning to pick up oil, etc. so I can have some nice new lube in her for the trip next weekend.

Oh, speaking of which . . . how do I determine if I have good/adequate break pad left?

Just make sure you have 1/4" to 1/8" of pad left. Also depending on the brake pads. you can see if you have groves left in the pad. if you have a decent grove you should be good to go. You will usally only have the groves in the pad on the front, the rear pad is doesn't always have one.
