1st time Ducati owner from Pennsylvania

Greetings from a life long motorcycle addict. I bought a 2001 Monster 750 dark off craigslist this week and I am as giddy as a school girl about it. It has had a very rough life and I felt the need to save it. Just starting to sort through issues and will need support. This site appears to have the knowledge I will need along with the shop manual I just ordered. I have been a Ducati fan from a distance for years and decided it was time to step up to the plate before I am too old. ( just turned 49 ) I started on a Rupp Roadster 2 mini bike and there was no looking back. Motocross, enduro, trials, crusiers old new and in between. My current bikes are 1978 Harley Davidson FLH / 1974 Husqavarna WR 250 / 1952 Harley Davidson 125 ( hummer ) Anyways I earn my living as a machinest and support my habit by buying selling motorcycles atvs old farm tractors etc. I look forward to hanging around this house and I will always wipe my feet before I come in. Doug

Welcome and enjoy. My 1st monster was a 99 750 but I am onto an S4R now and loving every minute of it. have fun looking at pics of others' Monsters and stealing ideas to customize your own. There are also some good deals here and on eBay to take care of any repairs needed. Might be needed based on your bike's rough history. Have fun and don't be why to ask others questions. There are no silly ones
