Hey fellas,

Sorry to ask something which has undoubtedly been asked before, but even after reading everything I can find across the internet on 695 changes, I am still in the dark.

My question (regarding '07 695):  People often mention modding the ECU to give you a smoother rev gradient, rather than the low rev sputtering which is present.  What ECU would you be looking at?  I have seen multiple different types mentioned but am finding it very hard to see any information on what really works / is reliable and which ones are applicable with my model etc.  Any info regarding this confusing area would be greatly appreciated.

I have also read that getting the 'termi kit' would give you the pipes / ECU together, however, I cannot for the life of me find any price estimates / places to purchase said kit. Do I need the pipes? Can I just buy an ECU and get some pipes later if I want to change the sound then?

Am I better off just asking my local Ducati mechanic and buying it through him or can I get a better deal online?

Thanks in advance!

Ducati sells DP ECUS with Termi exhaust as a set, but supply doe dwindle as the bikes become older.  A cheaper and probably easier solution is have someone flash your computer and pick up the exhaust of your choice.  Full exhaust requires major mapping change on your 696, slip-ons do not.  I would suggest posing on the OZ monsters Board, there are a lot of knowledgeable folk on that board.

i doubt very much you'd get a dp kit for a 695 any more.  they discontinue stuff pretty quick.

the ecu in the kit would be an open loop ecu, which is the main reason it would make the bike run better at low rpm, all other things being equal.  std ecu in 695 is closed loop.  just get someone to flash your ecu with the appropriate mapping.

I sent my ecu to Brad and got him to flash it to 695 DP spec. Fixed the bike. No more lean running, surging, cooking heads...

My only regret is not doing it straight away, before I trashed my valves due to the excessively lean running.
