Uh-oh ... what's going on here?

« on: March 09, 2014, 02:59:15 PM »

OK well the last one actually proved rather successful ... so we are doing it again. Same schedule as before and it offers quite a bit of flexibility.

Date: Saturday 22nd March 2014 (still before the end of daylight savings)
Meet: Pie in the Sky, Cowan 4:00pm for coffee and a chat (if you want)
Head off: 5:00pm -ish ... or whenever people want (they close the gates at 5:00pm)
Arrive: Old Road Cafe (aka Road Warriors) @ Mount White around 6:00pm for dinner

Because this is a low key, social event the times are not set in stone but provide a guide. If you choose to come along and leave early or arrive late, no problem ... if you want to break-off and do laps of the Old Road ... that is your prerogative. I don't want to be too formal, I want to be flexible enough for people to want to join in (in whatever capacity suits them).

This format worked well because it was not rushed, allowed us to ride (but not spend all day doing it) ... and as a group if people choose. You can leave or join whenever you want and most of us shouldn't have to worry about getting lost. Both establishments have undercover areas so that can help too even if some choose to chicken out and come by car.

For me the big thing is that we do something and get together talking shit ... which may include reminiscing about the good old days.

If anybody wants to make a day of it and schedule in a pre-4pm ride ... feel free. It is about inclusiveness ... lets get the community aspect of this place happenin' again.

Who's in?

Yes he dropped that in oh so CASUALLY, like he doesn't really want you to rename the ride 'Social Evening Paul M Birthday Ride'  and everyone bring presents, drinks and birthday cake with naked women jumping out, so we won't.

Just thought I would remind people ... this Saturday 22nd March 2014.

Although not essential, it would be nice to get a heads up if you're coming. Thanks.
