Hi so i wanted to lower the handle bar on my 12 evo a bit but don't want clip ons. I read that on the 796 the u bolt riser is shorter than the evo however when i check the parts fiche they are the same part number.

Does anyone know if they are in fact shorter or if its the same part?

I own an 1100 EVO and I have ridden the 796 but I didn't really notice much, if any, difference in the riding position.

You know I think I was wrong. Looks like the risers on the 2009 1100 are some lower than the evo. Part number is different.

I believe the 696, 1100 and 1100s were a little lower than the 796 and 1100evo.

I own an Evo as well as a 796 (better half's bike).  You are right, the rise is identical between the two.  You could try the Rizoma riser/sport bar combo if you don't want clip ons.

Just don't try to fit an Bitubo damper to a 2013 Evo.  It does not fit.
