OEM shifter vs aftermarket

I bent my shifter a while back and I think I'm going to finally replace it. I noticed there are some aftermarket shifters available and I wonder if anyone has any experience to compare it to stock. Are the aftermarket ones better? Worse? Poorer quality?

One thing that is a pain in the ass is that I had my rearsets powder coated so if I buy oem, I would have to send it to the powdercoater before I can install it.

I bought that shifter, but im not using it. The good thing is that it connects directly to the engine and you get rid of the friction and sloppiness of the stock lever bushing, but it will only work well if you have your shifter in close to horizontal position. I have long legs and my shifter adjusted quite low so the direction of the foot press was not anymore the same as the direction the lever turns.

Hmm? That looks like it uses the standard linkage so should have the same range of adjustment - with a little more possible with that eccentric toe peg
