hey scooby, ZOINKS, that looks nice!

how do they feel compared to the stock sets? i ride mostly in the twisties and more and more on the track. so i use the pegs alot to switch my hips back and forth. my knee's start to hurt during a long day in the twisties. will rearsets alleviate this a little?

They definitely put you up and back. Much better ground clearance, not that I really need it...  [laugh] Mine put my knees in a more bent position, but I ride a lot (I just did a 1700 mile 4 day road trip  ;D ) and for the most part I am really comfortable. I do try and stretch my legs on a regular basis, either with a quick off the bike rest, or a mobile knee straightening. I have had the rearsets going on 4 years so I am used to them in a big way.

In the north Washington Cascades on my trip...  8)

Yup, solo... I really like riding by myself; easy decision making [beer] cuz I always agree w/ myself...  [laugh]

I live in Vancouver Washington which is right across the Columbia River from Portland OR.

This is pic of my trip 2 weeks prior; did the south Oregon coast/mountain range... Awesome backwoods twisties, and some adventure riding thrown in to boot...

The other bikers were some crazy cannucks from Saskatoon I ran into thinking they were local and knew where they were headed; NOT! We all rode dirt in the rain for miles trying to find our way out of a one lane mtn. dirt road...  :P

Sorry to threadjack...

'im jacking my own thread... :D

your poor monster got quite muddy huh?
never been to that part of the country but a close friend literally just moved to oregon 2 days ago. he's about 15mins outside of portland.

too bad you didn't live closer to me as there's not too many people willing to do long trips on their bikes. there's a killer 380mi loop  that i found in my neck of the woods.

Scooby, what are your thoughts on that Pilot Road 2?  I am in the market for tires, and I like the dual compounds in the 2CTs and the Pilot Road 2.  I am trying to find out if the compounds are harder in the Road 2.  How does it ride, grip, lifespan?
M-ROCin' it!!!

So far so good on the Pilot Road 2 with about 2k miles. Zero sign of any center wear. As far as the ride and grip, seems pretty comparable to the power, just a little harder/stiffer would be my observation. Gripwise, I can tell a slight difference but with my basic abilities, I deem the road 2 (I only have a rear on -front is still power) totally acceptable, especially  since it seems I'm going to get 8k miles out of a rear compared to the 4k out of the power rear...

These are the old style non adjustable Rizomas.... Quite nice, IMO.  ;D

hey scooby, when you say "old style non adjustable", do you mean they're now making adjustable sets?
any issue's with the installation?

and do you have a pic that's a bit closer?

Yes, they discontinued this style and currently are making a new style which ARE adjustable but IMO are not as aesthetically pleasing..  8)

Here is a closer up pic...

The guy above your last post has them also, he has the exhaust hanger removed...

PJSparts.com has the new ones, BTW...

hey scooby, thanks for the pic. the new ones don't look as sturdy as the original ones like you have. and not too many passenger pegs options for rearsets. most are driver sets with no options for passengers...
