I fell short of my goal due to a mechanical error while taking my 99 M900 monster on a two day 1000 mile road trip last june.
I am not sure how it happened but my rear wheel got squeezed by the swingarm. Anyway, I am now looking to replace both my rear wheel and swing arm. I am wondering if a M750 swing arm will fit on my M900. Also, if I find a M750 works and is cheaper will I also have to by a M750 wheel. I am open to any thoughts you might have and or suggestions.

Sounds like your problem was that you had the conical spacer installed the wrong way. The larger end rests on the swingarm, and the tapered end rests on the rear sprocket/wheel bearing. This allows the rear wheel to rotate without the spacer rotating. If the spacer rotates, it eats into the swingarm and all sorts of nasty happens.

To answer your question, yes a M750 swingarm will work. Make sure you verify axle size because there was a change after 1999...maybe in 2000? I apoligize for not having the size off hand, but you can measure yours to be sure.

Make sure that spacer goes in correctly when you reinstall. [thumbsup]

The swing arm will need to be 2001 or older.  Pay attention to what  Dellikose says about the spacer.  If your swing arm is aluminum you might consider repairing it.  Post a photo of the damage.

Amen, I had my aluminum swingarm repair welded for $45.

Just for the sake of information posterity in this thread;

Axle size in an M600/750/900 swingarm from 1998 is identical to 2001. I happen to have both sitting here in front of me. Pretty sure all '93-'01 swingarms are going to be compatible, the axle size changed in 2002.
