Just a really great experience and everything was done as promised and on time as promised. Mark is also an incredibly friendly, unassuming, and unpretentious dude who has probably forgotten more about Ducati engines than many people will ever know and the value received for what I paid was high. I'm really grateful to the other well known guy who does this service for never returning my phone calls or emails.

Thanks. :) Can't wait until all the parts are spread out in front of me and I'm bolting them together.

I didn't get the whole enchilada. Just balancing and higher spec bearings. I want a bike I can ride for a loooong time without reliability concerns.

It's good you are making the bike just the way you want.
I have fantasized about spending 10K on my bike to make it perfect.
You know, to make it everything it could be. It's kinda' perfect for me already in a sense, but high end suspension front and rear, carbon or mag wheels, carbon or alloy tank, big bore motor with big valve heads, cams, more porting, custom carbon airbox, full exhaust, radial calipers, carbon bars and a full repaint.

Any chance this other guy is up (somewhat) near the DC area?

More info on those?

He installs the rods with what he calls "race spec bearings and rod bolts". That's all I know, sorry. Doubt he'd BS me.

Ah - thought he perhaps had a source for better main crankshaft bearings.

He builds and blueprints a ton of engines so he might? I should have thought to ask...I just got ass raped on those from Ducati :(

Hey Look up a seller on eBay called "Valtermotousa" he has a REALLY good deal on NOS radial calipers. What type of forks do you have?

I just turned a friend of mine on to a NOS Multistrada tank he had for sale for $599.  He bought it, has it now and it is perfect.  He bought a 2007 Multistrada 1100 S with less than 8,000 miles on it recently and the tank was all kinds of puffy, so bad it wouldn't fit back in the frame once he got it removed.  He is coating this one and plans to ride his new toy for many years.
