Nip it! In the bud!

« Reply #435 on: May 28, 2008, 07:19:33 PM »

Was anybody aware of these guys?  They take pics of bikes and cars driving through the Hill Country, then post them on their website and offer the prints for sale.

http://www.txmotofoto.com/

Snippet from their website explaining...

"We are a father and son team.  We are passionate about motorcycles...  we are here... to offer you the memories of your ride.  What better place than the Texas Hill Country. We can usually be found somewhere in the Hill Country on just about every weekend. There are so many roads to ride and places to see that we can’t be at all of them all of the time. We’re sorry if we missed you, but keep looking because if you see us that means we saw you and it is very likely that your ride picture will be posted."

Road condition alert!

I got this info from another Duc rider from Austin.  He and 3 other guys rode the Three Sisters last weekend.  He had this bit of warning based on their experience:

"One word of warning: the last 5-6 miles of RR337 into Leaky are a nightmare .... the road surface is gone and you end up on gravel, rocks and boulders!"  Shocked

Leakey is a caution area for sure, last May we had a wet dirt packed road.  Slick as ice.

Hey guys, I have a bunch of stock parts off my monster such as levers, handlebars, mirrors etc.. Should these be brought in the event of an Incident?

I just got the same warning from some cruiser guys here at the office. Sad
You'd think that'd be fixed by now, but no, apparently it's just even longer.

So, things came up for this weekend and I'm stuck between work and family but, I would like to try to meet up with y'all when you get into Austin.  I did hear there would be an Austin Beer stop, yes?

You are correct my man, we should be terrorizing the unsuspecting Austin citizens later on today
