While I love my Duc and bikes, my real passion is cars. I am sitting in the Phoenix airport on my way home from purchasing a new-to-me car.

I'll let the picture speak for it's self.  Grin

I am having it shipped. I haven't arranged the shipping yet. Best guess is that I will see it beginning of next month.

It is a '57 Bel Air Sport Coupe.  The drivetrain is not original. It's got a 400ci small block, 4 speed automatic. I don't know which rear-end it's got. It's got some minor issues, mostly electrical. None of which I can't handle on my own. Well, it's still got the drum brakes. They really need to be switched out for disks. I'll probably have that professionally done. And there are no seatbelts. Even though it's grandfathered, I'll be putting in front shoulder belts and rear lap belts.

Sweet ride mang.

I posted in the NMC thread but I'll post again here.

Does it happen to have the superfly vacuumed ashtray that was available on the '57 models?

It is amazing how far smoking has fallen.  In the 50's American's were designing ashtrays like the German's design cup holders.  laughingdp  Now smoking is viewed as evil.  And most assholes that smoke wouldn't use the ashtray nowadays any way.

Since I don't smoke, I didn't even pull open the ashtray to see. I suspect that it doesn't, but I am not sure. We'll have to see when it gets here.
