Long story short, big pot hole on the commute home = me cursing when I got off at home.
Anyone know any good shops around? I found this one through google and they have 2 good reviews on yelp but I was wondering if anyone else has had any xp:

I have only used McWheel
http://www.mcwheel.com/motorcycle.html
in New Hampshire for motorcycle wheels, good work, quick turn around. Local is better. If you use them let us know please!

Cool, I'll let you guys know if they're any good...
And offhand, how worried should I be about this dent? It's not losing any air, the psi was within .5 psi of what I set it at a month or two ago... should be fine to ride on it right?

I wouldn't panic over that one, but do get it fixed. You may get lucky and not need paint.

Thanks Howie... gonna give that shop a call today and see how much it'll cost.
And yeah, it's pretty small and I'm hoping I dont need to repaint either... these are the forged oem rims and from what I've googled online it seems that means it can be pretty easily fixed.

Cool man thanks... going to see if I can get it over to a shop sometime this week. Want to try to do the DESMO TD on the 9th and I'm hoping I can get it patched up before then.

thought,
Do let us know how it goes. I also recently got a dent on my front wheel almost exactly the same size as yours. If you recommend the shop, I'll go there as well.
Thanks.

Np Vishwa... I just dropped it off today. It's 150 for the straightening and maybe another 150 if I want to repaint it... I'm tempted to just leave it with a mark on it. I asked them to see if they could do it cold but we'll see.

Kevin et al,
I have used MC wheel for the GSXR front wheel I put on
Michelle's SV
. It was an experiment to see what they could do.
The wheel looked like pac man with grind marks on the side before I sent it to them. They made it perfect and painted to match.
It's been on her SV for years and you'd never know it was trashed.
I think they moved from NH down south, but if it's the same guys, I'd use em again in a minute if needed.
See you at the DESMO TD. <-- I'm just about to post about that here in the local board.

I wanted to use the mail in guys but a lot of them of them were going to take too long with shipping... would make the deadline for the TD.
Fingers crossed on the local guy but he seems pretty legit... had a lot of moto specific gear to fix rims.

From what I know, aluminum can't be bent cold.

Forgot to update this thread but here it is...
Got the rim back, he said he got the shimmy out and the rim looked good. It needed to be repainted but I just put it back on to get to a TD. $150 all in to get the rim fixed, but it would have been another $150+ to repaint it... they also werent familiar with the matte bronze ducati color and couldnt find it unless they ordered it from color rite.
So, in the end, good experience but if you have a rim in a very ducati specific color I wouldnt bother getting it repainted there.
