Some "guy" just PM'd me to say I can't take "constructive" criticism. Because I'm sure that's what it was, lol. The bike isn't finished but I'll eat some crow for now, posting that crappy looking pic. Being the first time I've ever really built anything and all, and not paying someone else to build my entire bike like the guy doing the "constructive" criticising, I certainly have a lot to learn and improve on.
A PM is just that...personal.
We don't want to hear about it.

I see it this way...
You're building a bike that, so far, looks/sounds like it belongs 'up there' with some of the finest.
Such a project will attract a lot of attention and ditto opinions.
Willingly or not, setting the bar so high might make us, the spectators, think it's our privilege to voice anything...
I'm sorry if I went too far - I'm impressed and want the end result to be 'perfect'
According to me, of course

I wish there was a "like" button we could just click on. I think to OP is doing a great job!

Well that's too flattering, Lars . And that's what I'd consider "constructive criticism"; i.e a critique that contains a suggestion, in the spirit of improvement, non oppositional, well reasoned...Etc. I have zero problem with any of that and I actually appreciate it.
But no one should be expected to accept being insulted. Biting my make the beast with two backsing tongue HARD so I can finish this thread.

I think the dash looks good. I thought it was going to be bulky.

Its like a modern take on a Vincent imo. A feature, but more subtle.
This is a build I can relate to alot. It involves doing it yourself, making mistakes, and at times fumbling through until its done right, and learning alot on the way.
Aspects that aren't to my taste dont draw a critique. Different strokes for different blokes.

Aw shucks, thanks dudes! But remember I love the constructive criticism and it's an honor to receive it from such a talented lot, so don't get me wrong. My only beef in this life is with hypocrites and frauds
. Most of this crap just bolted on and I spent months neglecting my family to earn the cash to buy it... no pride in that. I have good taste that's about it
(and a hacksaw for the tail chop). Very cool and humbling that I've put something together a several of you like, still lots of work to be done. This dash is obviously a bigger challenge than I thought and I'm sure my carbs need tweaked...

Glad its running. That loom threw a curved ball for sure.
Any FCR tweaking will probably be needle position and idle mixture.
