No, I just used what I had sitting around as a prop. I'm wondering if anyone has any "theory" to offer. Good, bad, or indifferent.
Well the topless one will have more surface area which is good.
Topless one looks better but might have some folks staring.
Not sure if there would be more turbulence from the freedom the topless one will have.
Also, not sure about Ohio, but in NYS topless is legal.

I thought NYC was more progressive than that.
Hrrm, turbulence. I wish I was handy, I'd make little carbon fiber "shrouds" for in front of my pods.

You're going to lose a few horse power up top from the pods, but you probably won't notice it.

If you are determined to use pods, I would use the newer, topless pods on your 100% build and the more used pods on the 750. Just on new Vs old thing.
However for the sake of data you could compare both back to back on the 750 with the same jetting and report back. The open top pods
should
flow more air. Maybe only a dyno and gas sniffer will show anything, I don't know.

Oh it's noticeable, even for someone as slow as me. I really despise the bulky airbox though, and I have never seen anyone really determined to max out the potential of the pods. Mark Sutton is who recommended these to me but never really elaborated on it. I may spend the cash to have him tune the bike when it's finally done.

Well it would just be silly to drop all this coin and not have it tuned.

Nick got my stanchions ano'd BLACK and Matris carts installed;
I need to paint the bottoms black to match.
And after 3 months of waiting, the virtually unobtanium STM reservoirs in black.

I think they're the best looking ones I've seen, not too blingy and purposeful .

Thanks to Koko's advice to be mindful of the superior flow rate of the OE pentagon pump I went with this, I'll use a Y fitting since a 2 outlet pump was the only high flow option from Mikuni. (Wish I had split FCRs...this would be perfect for that.
When buying Mikuni vacuum pumps be wary of knock offs; there are a ton out there of poor quality and you don't save a significant amount of money.

The pump looks good in satin black. Should help hide it.

The extra outlet fouling something, or bigger pump body (looks the same size as oem)?

The bracket holes are spaced out too far, I was hoping it would be a direct swap. I can secure but it won't look like a nice clean OE part.
