The dash shows the blue high beam indicator is on, toggling the high beam switch does nothing. Turn signals and brake light works fine. What should I look at first?

Thanks in advance,
Dan

I was thinking that, hopefully that simple. I've had the dash/light assembly pulled off its support pegs to access to the fork tubes recently. I'll check the harness for tightness.

Thanks!

So I found the culprit, the single connecter pin is burnt. I can wiggle the connection when connected and the lights will work.
So how do I fix this and most importantly how did happen and can what can prevent his from happening again?

Is the 4 position connecter on this page what I need ?

Looks about right, but no FHE.

I'd E-mail him about an alternative higher-current capability connector before buying the same thing as what just burned up.

Finally switched out the stock, burnt connecter with a higher quality, higher amp rated connecter. I was nervous about tackling the job as I usually stay away from electrical jobs.

I found this place on line, http://www.cycleterminal.com/index.html

I sent pics of the stock, burnt connecter to the owner of cycle terminal and he quickly replied back to me with confirmation of the stock part name, and all the specks, and helped with selecting upgraded parts.  :)
