help? bike isn't working. Help is on the way...
«

i thought the bike was working but now i'm stuck in L.A.
i'm at a buddy's place, but he has to take off and i need to get 3 hours north.
i don't really have the tools I need to work on it. It might be the battery and it might be the charging system.
Bike is an 02 KTM 640 adventure.
I realize this is a bit late in the day, but any help would be appreciated.

Current status...I need to get the bike to Reseda. And me back to studio city afterwards.
I'll buy you a beer or 2 and buy you a tank of gas.

Cool. I didn't see this until late. Was preparing the Tacoma to delve into that shithole we call LA County.

And I was coming here to say not so fast, Knight arranged it.
My go-to Towing Guy is suffering truck malfunction, and #2 was way too far away.

Some sprucing up of dodgy wiring and a new battery appears to have done the trick.
Charging system seems a bit lazy, so fingers crossed.
If he makes it home, then I'll count it as battle won.
We'll see if the war is won as well....

The new ground wire is frying. Bike starts to run but then doesn't catch.
Going over the wires again.

I'm driving down.
More than an electrical issue surfaced. Something internal seems to have died a horrid death.
