So it's been a few years since I compare-shopped.

Does anyone use an insurance agent that they like and can recommend to me?  Thx!

Try these people:

Motorcycle Services LLC
6800 Jericho Tpke
Syosset, NY 11791
516.682.9220

I used them for years, although I am now with Allstate, who finally offered me a good rate, partly because we have car, home, life and umbrella with them.

i'll just say my experience left much room for improvement and i immediately switched to state farm once the claim was finally processed, even though they cost me something like $200 more per year.

I use them and have been happy.  Haven't price-shopped in a while and probably should.  That said, Progressive has been easy to deal with, I like their customer service, and they offer bike towing for $10/yr.  No complaints.
