Yes, I read a review stating the mouth-guard offered just a bit more protection than a bandanna.

In point of fact it doesnt actually look tough on.

You look like your going to comic con as a C.O.B.R.A. Commando.  Its cartoony and laughable.

couple that with its poor cost to protection ratio an you just look foolish.

The way the mouth/jaw/face guard attaches to the helmet looks flimsy so if you did do a face plant, it looks like the guard would just smash into your face without absorbing the impact. Maybe it would disperse the energy a little, and might be better than a bandana, but I couldn't wear it. Plus, less importantly but still an issue is that it does look like you're trying too hard to look tough which always comes off as dorky and uncool.
